Meet the Mayor of St Etienne de Lugdarés

The Mayor of St Etienne de Lugdarés opened the Rurener kick-off meeting, welcoming project partners from across Europe. I caught up with him over an aperatif, and asked him how long the village had been involved in sustainable energy projects.

I have problems with your site. I try again, hoping I’ll be better,
We have seen that you were offered a warm welcome in St Etienne. We are glad to hear that although we have been carefully selected out of the meeting by our Mayor. The crux of the matter is, of course, the debate over the new wind-mills project. ,But our Mayor hates debating !
The enormous, badly conceived new project you were told about will be a disaster for an important part of the population. You should be informed about that as well. If you feel any interest about the question : we have built a small (but beautiful !) group to carefully analyse the situation in a scientific manner. Our latest document is almost ready to be given to the post, to the public. It is too is too big be sent on this site. On request we would be glad to send you a paper or e-mail copy.
