Day of the Energy in Atzeneta

On February 2010 the 5th took place in Atzeneta’s town hall a workshop with the local stackeholders for promotion of sustainable criteria in the production and consumption of renewable energy with a rural and contextual approach .
The principal goal of the workshop was to share information about the State-Of-Art-Technologies and Best Practices involving the civil society in the energetic policies that from the municipality are planned.
We invite all the existing associations in the zone, educational center of the population, agro businessmen, agricultural cooperatives, services companies, and neighboring from others municipalities.
The assistance was numerous and very varied, we will distinguish a high participation of the interest group involved: tenagers, womens, and citzens in general, also workers from the local cooperative and some farmers and livestocks associates and from the local primary school both parents and teachers.
We present the Rurener Project, as project that stirs into action the networks) of small populations to be able to face to his energetic sustainability and the high participation from Intercoop as leader of the project in Spain like Atzeneta as pilot zone.
Later on we report of the current situation of the obtaining of energy from the vision of the animal-agricultural farmers . We share topics about biomass cotreatments with or energetic crops, biogas with animal manures, and solar photovoltaic in covers.
The point of view of planning inside a municipality relied on a presentation of attitudes that it is necessary to have as citizen and the projects focused in the context hall applying this one and thinking to apply for the energetic municipal expense cost reduction.
For the workshop several stakeholders from different regional institutions were taking part, Intercoop as rural, agricultural , and services cooperative group commited in the rural context, the Technological University of the Valencian Region-UPV, the Center of Agricutural Research-IVIA of the Region and the Mayor of the Municipality.
Some conclussion about the workshop: few proposals that already they are working. In collaboration with the network of sustainable populations of Castellón Province a series of solar fotovoltaic panels will be exposed on make conceited to be visited by the public in general but orientated overcoat to the school center students.
Also a proposal was funding a sustanaible project orientates for heating-and-coling (thermal recovery) of the school by means of renewable energies with organic wastes avalaible in the munipality.
