14 mayors in the spotlight for sustainable energy

One highlight of the RURENER European conference on March 1o/11th in Tirano, was the signing of the charter by the 14 mayors or their representatives of the pilot communities. The Italian partners organised the meeting for partners, pilots, other interested small rural communities as well as national and European decision makers. The RURENER project was introduced, some best practises where demonstrated, information about funding options was given, and a lot of discussion took place during workshops, coffee breaks, round tables and site visits about European Energy policy and local action in rural areas.
