On October 15th and 16th, the partners of the COLEOPTER project gathered in Cartagena, Spain, for the kick-off meeting hosted by the Ayuntamiento de Cartagena et CETENMA.
COLEOPTER is an integrated, consensus-building based approach of energy and water efficiency in public buildings. The approach is made of three main components:
- Consideration of energy and the energy-water nexus in the demonstrator buildings
- Conduct of territorial dialogue to involve local stakeholders (citizens, futures users, experts, SMEs, elected representatives…) in the refurbishment projects and maximize impact locally
- Use of the Building Information Modeling (BIM) technology to conduct the dialogue and allow all participants to contribute to its design relying on their expertise (of use, technical, economic…)
