The network is invested of four main missions:
- Encourage the mobilization of rural communities for the energy transition and energy neutrality
- Be the voice of rural territories in the struggle against climate change at the European level
- Facilitate the sharing of good practices between European territories
- Empower rural communities with tools to implement their energy strategy
